The Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts at the Cyprus University of Technology is organizing once again its annual graduate exhibition, CUT OUT 2023. The exhibition will take place on June 16, 2023, opening its doors to the academic community, the business world, and society.
The theme of this year's exhibition concerns the design process. It focuses on the backstage, the "failed," "rejected" ideas found on scattered papers, piles of materials, tangled electronics, Arduinos, and the creative chaos hidden behind a design proposal. We invite you to attend our exhibition to see, explore, and appreciate everything that lies behind the scenes and contributes to the creation of our works.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held on Friday, June 16, at 19:00, and the exhibition will remain open until June 18th, between 18:00 and 22:00. At the opening ceremony, awards are presented to the outstanding students of the School of Fine and Applied Arts. CUT OUT is hosted this year at the Art & Design Laboratory (REX), the Graphic Design Laboratory (EGRA), and the Photography Laboratory (Blue Pearl) at Heroes Square (Platia Iroon), Limassol.

"Cocktails"
CUT OUT exhibition returns with physical presence! The annual graduate exhibition of the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts, Cyprus University of Technology, is being held for the twelfth consecutive year, presenting many projects and innovative ideas, design, graphic design and multimedia creations. The theme of this year's exhibition was inspired by the similarities between cocktail-making and the process followed by designers when undertaking a design challenge. Just as a cocktail is made up of ingredients, flavours and ideas, so is a successful design. Designers mix their ideas with creativity, resulting in a successful design outcome which they later "serve" to the public. Inspired by these parallel processes, emerged our slogan "Brief it, mix it, share it". CUT OUT 2022 will be held at the premises of the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts, located at Heroes’ Square, Limassol.
The opening of the exhibition is on the 18th of June at 19:00. The exhibition will remain open on the 19th and 20th of June, from 18:00 - 22:00 and can be accessed online here https://2022.cutout.cut.ac.cy/
