The Department of Commerce, Finance and Shipping (CFS) is located in Limassol, one of the biggest shipping hubs of the Mediterranean, and offers degrees in the areas of Finance and Shipping at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Taking advantage of proximity to the industry the Department develops collaborations with the corporate world and enhances career opportunities. The academic staff is composed of members with excellent research record, global exposure as well as industry experience, that use modern teaching methods and tools to deliver degrees that are relevant to today's business world with excellent career prospects.

Therefore, the mission of the Department of Commerce, Finance and Shipping is to:

  • Educate students in the fields of finance and shipping through a wide variety of high-quality academic programmes which blend rigorous academic training with ethical aspects of economics and finance   
  • Prepare highly employable students with strong analytical skills, creative intelligence, entrepreneurial and organizational qualities that will enable them to face problems related to the changing economic/financial environment.
  • Develop and maintain a strong corporate network with the regional and international market.
  • Integrate academic programmes of study and scientific research to deliver unparalleled education in the fields of shipping and finance.
