RESEARCH FELLOWS (SPECIAL SCIENTISTS FOR RESEARH / RESEARCHERS C -R2**) POSITIONS

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) Part-time/Full-time Research Fellows positions (Special Scientists for Research / Researchers C – R2**) at the Department of Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering in the field of “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Software Technology for Intelligent Systems”.

The research focuses on implementing testing techniques for the analysis and assessment of Large Language Models (LLMs). These techniques aim to identify weaknesses in LLMs in terms of correctness, validity, and fairness, using self-adaptive and self-learning methodologies. The detected weaknesses will be employed to further improve LLMs through fine-tuning and distillation.

Applicants should have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s from a recognised University in relevant disciplines (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or other related areas).
• Experience in conducting research relevant to the field (AI and Software Engineering).
• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Organizational skills

The following will be considered as an advantage:

• Completion of research projects funded by national and/or European programmes
• Experience in Artificial Intelligence, Software Technology and/or Robotics
• Mobility experience/International and professional mobility

Τhe appointment will be for a period of Twelve (12) months with the prospect of renewal until 30/11/2027. The monthly gross salary for the Part-time position will be €1865.85 and for the Full-time position will be €3820.47, based on the legislation currently in effect. From this amount, employee contributions will be deducted, according to current legislation. It is noted that there is provision for 13th salary (the cost of the 13th salary has been proportionally incorporated in the monthly remuneration as analyzed above).
