SENIOR IT SPECIALIST
RiskMatrix is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT professional to play a key role in shaping the future direction of the company’s IT division. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for technology and artificial intelligence, combined with proven expertise in software configuration and technical support. This role is well suited to a disciplined, client-focused self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and takes ownership of delivering effective, high-quality solutions and services.
Key responsibilities include the implementation of Moody’s CreditLens credit risk assessment and loan origination platform, system configuration, and the provision of ongoing technical support. The successful candidate will be expected to engage with a range of IT technologies, analyze requirements, and design optimal solutions to support both client and internal needs. A high level of attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and a proactive problem-solving mindset are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
•Mentor and support a geographically distributed team, effectively balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
•Analyze client requirements and translate them into effective configurations using available solutions and tools.
•Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to define specifications for new system deployments.
•Develop a strong understanding of the Moody’s credit risk assessment and loan origination solution’s data model.
•Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, supporting the IT team in complex implementation scenarios.
•Participate in the provision of ongoing support for deployed solutions, including underlying infrastructure, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and continuous system stability.
Background Requirements
•Solid knowledge of operating systems and platforms (e.g., Red Hat Linux, Microsoft Windows Server).
•Working knowledge of relational databases, as well as document-oriented or hybrid database systems.
•Understanding and experience of AI tools as well as SaaS and web technologies knowledge.
•Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
•Foundational knowledge of accounting and/or financial analysis.
•Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Computer Science or a related field.
•Strong communication presentation skills and a clear willingness to develop the ability to present complex technical complex to non-technical audiences.
Desirable
The following will be considered as an advantage:
•Master’s degree (MSc) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
•Experience with programming languages and frameworks such as C#, .NET.
•Experience in R, report design, and workflow design.
•Familiarity with tools such as Zoho and Jira.
•Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to explore emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.
Details for the Position
•The position is based in Larnaca, Cyprus, with the possibility of partial remote work.
•The position may involve occasional travel within the countries in the region that we cover.
