RESEARCH FELLOW (Postdoctoral Researcher – R2* or Postgraduate Associate / Assistant Researcher A – R1*) POSITION

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) Part-time Research Fellow position (Postdoctoral Researcher-R2 or Postgraduate Associate / Assistant Researcher A-R1) at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics in the field of “Land Use Modelling for Sustainable Urban Planning”.

Applicants should have:

For the position of Post-Doctoral Researchers:

  1. A Bachelor’s or Master's degree and a Doctoral degree from a recognized university in related fields (e.g Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Geoinformatics, or Spatial Planning/Urban Planning).
  2. Experience in using ArcGIS Pro.
  3. Experience in conducting research related to the field.
  4. Organizational skills.
  5. Very good knowledge of the English language (spoken and written)

For the position of Post-Graduate Associate (Assistant Researcher A):

  1. A Bachelor's and Master's degree from a recognized university in related fields (e.g in Rural and Surveying Engineering/Geoinformatics or Civil Engineering or Architecture/Urban Planning )
  2. Experience in using ArcGIS Pro.
  3. Experience in conducting research related to the field.
  4. Organizational skills.
  5. Very good knowledge of the English language (spoken and written)

For all positions, the following will be considered an advantage:

  1. Programming knowledge in the ArcGIS environment with Python (ArcPy).
  2. Completion of research projects funded by national and/or European funds.
  3. Mobility experience/international and professional mobility.

 

Τhe appointment will be for a period of six (6) months with the prospect of renewal. The monthly gross salary for the position will be €1733,10 (135,04 hours/month for Postdoctoral Researcher and 93,63 hours/month for Postgraduate Associate / Assistant Researcher A) based on the legislation currently in effect. From this amount, employee contributions will be deducted, according to current legislation. It is noted that a 13th salary is provided, which has been proportionally incorporated in the monthly remuneration.

Candidates who fulfil the requirements of the position may be invited for a personal interview by the Selection Committee.
