Lumio Private School is a new not-for-profit international school located in Acheleia, near Paphos, Cyprus. The school will open its doors in September 2024 for grades 1 to 9. With a stunning 6.8-hectare site currently undergoing renovation, Lumio offers modern classrooms, well-equipped science and IT labs, dedicated spaces for arts and sports, and a variety of extracurricular activities. The school is conveniently accessible from major motorways.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness within our school community. As the School Nurse, you will provide medical care, health education, and support to students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities:

·        Assess and address students’ health needs, including administering first aid, managing chronic conditions, and coordinating emergency responses.

·        Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and local health regulations.

·        Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create individualized health plans for students with specific medical requirements.

·        Conduct health screenings, immunization checks, and vision/hearing tests.

·        Educate students on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and mental health.

·        Monitor and manage the school’s medication administration process.

·        Provide guidance on illness prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.

·        Respond promptly to health-related incidents during school hours.

·        Collaborate with external healthcare providers and agencies as needed.

Qualifications:

·        Registered Nurse license in Cyprus

·        Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·        Compassionate, patient, and empathetic

·        Knowledge of relevant health laws and regulations

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a tea

• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents and staff 
• Advance proficiency at a native language level in English
• CPR /AED certificate is obligatory
