RESEARCH FELLOW POSITION (Postgraduate Associate/ Assistant Researcher  A – R1*) POSITION

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) Full-time Research Fellow position of Postgraduate Associate/ Assistant Researcher A (R1*) at the EUt+ Coordination Centre in the field of innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The EUt+ Coordination Center (eut.cut.ac.cy) of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) is seeking an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Officer to support the implementation of Work Package 6 (Entrepreneurship & Innovation) of the European University of Technology (EUt+) Alliance (univ-tech.eu), where CUT acts as leader and coordinator.

The position focuses on the coordination and delivery of EUt+ entrepreneurship and innovation activities of the EUt+ Entrepreneurship School (eis-tech.eu), including administrative and operational support for its educational programmes, the Student Startup Lab, the EUt+ Incubation Programme, and related ecosystem-building initiatives.

The role is funded through the EUt+ Accelerate Project and involves close collaboration with EUt+ partner universities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and day-to-day implementation of WP6 activities, including KPIs, milestones, deliverables, technical reports, and contributions to European Commission reviews and communication material.
  • Support the operation of the EUt+ Entrepreneurship School, including administrative, organisational, and operational support for its activities and educational programmes.
  • Organise and support innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities and events, including workshops, training sessions, and networking activities.
  • Support and coordinate the EUt+ Incubation Programme (part of the Student Startup Lab), guiding student teams through the incubation process (training, selection, European feedback, and final competition).
  • Support stakeholder engagement with industry, startups, public organisations, investors, and innovation actors, and represent CUT and EUt+ at national and international events.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor's and Master's degree from a recognized university in related fields
  • Strong organisational, coordination, and time-management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver multiple activities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with academic, administrative, and external stakeholders.
  • Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)

 

The following will be considered as an advantage:

  • PhD
  • Experience in implementation of research programs from national and/or European funds
  • Mobility experience/International and professional mobility

Additional Experience & Skills

This role is designed to be supportive and developmental. The experience listed below may be useful for certain tasks, but is not required to apply or to succeed in the position. Training and guidance will be provided where needed.

  • Exposure to EU or internationally funded projects (e.g., Erasmus+, Horizon Europe).
  • Interest in or involvement with entrepreneurship, innovation, incubation, or startup-related activities.
  • Experience supporting project coordination, reporting, KPIs, or deliverables.
  • Experience assisting with the organisation of events, workshops, bootcamps, or networking activities.
  • Familiarity with working with multiple stakeholders, such as universities, industry, or public bodies.
  • Interest in European higher education, innovation ecosystems, and university–industry collaboration.

Τhe appointment will be for a period of twelve (12) months with the prospect of renewal for twelve (12) months. The monthly gross salary for the position will be €2136,33 based on the legislation currently in effect. From this amount, employee contributions will be deducted, according to current legislation. It is noted that there is a provision for 13th salary (the cost of the 13th salary has been proportionally incorporated in the monthly remuneration).
