Electronics Engineer

We are looking for an experienced full-time Electronics Engineer to join and work at the premises of eBOS Technologies Ltd, a fast-growing SME with 21 years of presence, headquartered in Nicosia, Cyprus.

As a member of our R&D team, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge through continuous training and guidance, to complete technical research tasks of existing and new projects (EU research or commercial).

 

Job Description:

The successful candidate’s role will focus on designing, developing, and optimising firmware for microcontrollers, including ESP32, STM32, and other WiFi/LoRa/BLE/ Zigbee/LTE modules, as well as programming CPLDs and FPGAs to meet advanced system requirements.

A key responsibility will be developing and deploying robust Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) solutions, ensuring secure, seamless, and efficient remote updates for embedded devices. The successful candidate will contribute to the architectural design of firmware systems, collaborating closely with the electronics hardware team to achieve optimised performance and reliability across all components.

Additionally, the work will involve creating, testing, and validating firmware for prototypes, integrating firmware with hardware systems, and addressing challenges in system simulations and debugging. Under the supervision of the Electronics Tem Leader, the successful candidate will also prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, testing protocols, and update logs, while contributing to innovative research projects.

This role requires a proactive approach to developing firmware solutions that ensure compatibility, scalability, and security for advanced embedded systems in diverse applications.

 

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

· University degree, Bachelor’s degree and/or Masters of Science, and/or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electronics Engineering, preferably focusing in firmware development of microcontrollers, CPLDs and FPGAs.

· Good knowledge of Altium Designer software for PCB design and circuit simulation.

· Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills in English language.

· Excellent organisational and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.

· Strong analytical abilities with research analyses and evaluations.

· Technical problem-solving with superb planning and coordination skills.

· The job requires physical presence in the company’s electronics lab in Nicosia Cyprus.
