About the Role
We are searching for an enthusiastic and experienced ICT/Computer Science Teacher to join our school team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in teaching Information and Communication Technology, a good understanding of the British curriculum, and expertise in preparing students for IGCSE exams.
As an ICT/Computer Science Teacher you are promoting computer literacy and internet safety among our students and preparing them for the IGCSE ICT Examinations. We appreciate project-based approaches in education and multicultural communication. As a successful candidate you have a profound understanding of effective teaching practices and are capable of designing your lessons in a motivating way. You should be capable of teaching children with different English levels within the same class.
Key Responsibilities
● Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons for primary and secondary students
● Prepare students for IGCSE ICT examinations
● Design and implement lesson plans aligned with the British National curriculum
● Integrate hands-on learning opportunities using modern ICT tools and techniques
● Foster a collaborative and innovative classroom environment
● Using different teaching methods, including project-based learning, whole class, group work, independent research, demonstrations, experiments and play, to motivate and encourage interaction in the class
● Stay updated with the latest developments in ICT education and technology trends
● Maintain open communication with parents and guardians through regular updates, meetings and reports on children’s progress and well being
● Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback
● Adhere to school policies regarding discipline, safeguarding and health and safety
We Are Looking For
● Proven experience as an ICT/Computer Science Teacher (preferably in the international school)
● Approval by or application number of the Cyprus council of Recognition of Qualifications (KYSATS)
● Ability to teach primary ICT up to and including IGCSE
● Familiarity with the British curriculum and IGCSE examination standards
● Strong technical knowledge in ICT concepts, programming, and hardware/software systems
● Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills
● High communication skill in English
