Junior Java Developer Description

EPAM is seeking a Junior Java Developer to join our team in Nicosia, working with one of our clients in the insurance industry. As a Junior Java Developer, you will assist in creating, maintaining and enhancing software applications using Java programming language. You'll work closely with Senior Developers to contribute to key projects, troubleshoot issues and build the skills necessary to advance your career in software development.

Responsibilities

• Participate in implementation of business and technical features for an enterprise project with complex business logic
• Develop and maintain Java applications, write clean, efficient and well-documented code using Java and associated frameworks
• Collaborate with the team, work with Software Developers, Designers and Testers to implement application features in an Agile environment
• Perform unit testing, write and execute test cases using testing frameworks like JUnit
• Assist in database operations, create and execute SQL queries

Requirements

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Java engineering
• Good knowledge of Spring framework
• Good SQL or NoSQL knowledge
• Understanding of REST API principles
• Experience with JUnit testing
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and eager to learn and develop new skills
• Fluency in English
