The Cyprus Space Exploration Organisation (CSEO) is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing space exploration and astronomy in Cyprus and around the globe. Our International Space Innovation Centre (C-SpaRC), a COSPAR Centre of Excellence, is at the forefront of space technology innovation. Our team of scientists and engineers closely cooperates with our international partners including NASA and Lockheed Martin, along with domestic partners such as the University of Cyprus, CYENS CoE, Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics and the Aretaeio Hospital.

The Opportunity

CSEO’s new Autumn 2025 Internship Programme offers talented and passionate students or recent graduates the chance to gain invaluable hands-on experience in the heart of the space sector, leading to a possibility of employment in CSEO. As an intern, you will be matched with a relevant department—such as Engineering, Software Development, Communications, or Administration—where you will support ongoing projects under the guidance of experienced mentors.

In addition to your departmental duties, you will participate in a comprehensive three-month long training programme. You will also play a crucial role in one of our most important missions: public engagement. You will be a key part of the team that organises and executes CSEO’s vibrant calendar of public activities, helping to inspire the community and promote space exploration.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to the daily tasks and long-term projects within your assigned department.
  • Take an important role in the planning, coordination, and execution of CSEO’s public outreach events and activities.
  • Assist in organizing major international competitions and activities such as the NASA Space Apps Challenge, DefInSpace, and ActInSpace.
  • Help coordinate popular local events like our annual Perseids Observation Night.
  • Liaise with event participants, partners, volunteers, and the general public.
  • Support the creation of promotional materials and social media content to drive community involvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Recently graduated from a university program (relevant fields include, but are not limited to: Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Astronomy, Business, Marketing, or Communications).
  • A genuine and demonstrable passion for space, science, and technology.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Confidence in public speaking and community engagement is a significant plus.
  • Proficient in the English Language.
  • Team player.
