Junior Engineer Job Description
The role:
A Nicosia-based supplier of engineering, laboratory and didactic equipment to universities, ministries and technical institutes, is hiring a Junior Engineer to be a member of a team as a technical sales assistant.
Responsibilities
• Tenders: read specifications, build compliance matrices, match products to requirements, compile technical files.
• Suppliers: identify and screen new manufacturers by category, open contact, obtain quotations and support distributor negotiations; maintain the supplier database.
• Training abroad: attend factory training and trade fairs with key suppliers; bring product knowledge back to the team.
• Private market: build a target list of private colleges, training centres, laboratories and industrial firms; run outreach, demos and quotations; convert enquiries into orders.
• Delivery: support installation, commissioning and user training.
Profile
• BSc/MSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Civil or similar engineering.
• Fluent Greek and English, written and spoken.
• Reads datasheets, drawings and standards (EN, ISO, CE) with confidence.
• Strong Excel and document skills; organised and detail-focused under deadlines.
• Comfortable calling, visiting and presenting to customers and suppliers.
• Driving license; willing to travel in the EU and beyond.
