About the Role

The EUt+ Coordination Centre (eut.cut.ac.cy) at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) is seeking a dynamic, digitally fluent Digital Communications & Community Officer to lead its public communication and represent CUT within the European University of Technology (EUt+) Alliance (univ-tech.eu).

In this role you will be CUT’s primary ambassador for the EUt+ alliance among our student body and the wider public, translating complex academic collaborations into accessible, engaging content —online and in print— and leading the EUt+ Student Ambassadors initiative. The role is funded through the EUt+ Accelerate Project.

Key Responsibilities

Content, Editorial & Brand

  • Plan, write, edit and proofread engaging content across formats — articles, news, newsletters, press updates, brochures, guides and reports — for both digital and print channels.
  • Ensure quality and consistency across all content — accuracy, readability, and alignment with EUt+ and CUT brand guidelines — and guide colleagues, partner communication teams and Student Ambassadors on these standards and how to adapt content for their channels.

Digital Channels & Student Community

  • Develop, curate and publish native content for the alliance’s digital platforms, with a strong focus on TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and the official web portals.
  • Lead, coordinate and grow the EUt+ Student Ambassadors initiative, mentoring student representatives and empowering them to advocate for the alliance on campus and online.
  • Design and deliver campaigns that introduce the vision and opportunities of EUt+ to students and the wider public; monitor engagement metrics and adapt to current digital trends and platform algorithms.

Alliance Liaison

  • Act as CUT’s liaison for WP9 (Communication & Dissemination), coordinating an editorial calendar and collecting content inputs from partner communication teams.
  • Contribute to WP9 KPIs, milestones, deliverables and reporting; liaise with the graphic-design team/external providers for the timely production of print and web materials; and organise and promote events (info sessions, ceremonies, conferences).

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • A Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from a recognized university in a writing-intensive or communication-related field, such as: Humanities (e.g., literature/philology, languages, history, philosophy), Social Sciences (e.g., International Relations, Sociology, Political Science, Anthropology), Business, Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or Media Studies.
  • Very good knowledge in writing, editing and proofreading skills in Greek and English, with the ability to translate complex, academic information into clear, accessible content for diverse audiences across online and offline formats.
  • Strong media and information literacy, including the smart, ethical use of AI tools to support content ideation, copywriting, and daily workflows.
  • Hands-on skills with social-media platforms and tools
  • Strong organisational and project-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines.

The following will be considered as an advantage

  • Experience in digital communications, content management, community engagement, or a similar role.
  • Experience in the implementation of research/projects funded by national and/or European funds (e.g., Erasmus+, Horizon Europe).
  • Knowledge of additional EUt+ Alliance languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Latvian, Lithuanian).
  • Skills in graphic design and video editing.
  • Experience managing website content via a CMS (e.g., WordPress),
  • Mobility experience/International and professional mobility

This role is designed to be supportive and developmental. The experience listed as an advantage may be useful but is not required to apply or to succeed in the position. Training and guidance will be provided where needed.
