For Postdoctoral Research positions

 

  1. A Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate degree (Master’s level) and a PhD from a recognized university in the field of Civil Engineering. Candidates with studies in related disciplines will also be considered, including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy-related Engineering, Computer Science, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Data Management, or Applied Mathematics / Physical Sciences, with application in relevant fields.
  2. Organizational skills
  3. Very good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken

 

For Postgraduate Associate / Assistant Researcher A positions

 

  1. A Bachelor’s degree and a postgraduate degree (Master’s level) from a recognized university in the field of Civil Engineering. Candidates with studies in related disciplines will also be considered, including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy-related Engineering, Computer Science, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Data Management, or Applied Mathematics / Physical Sciences, with application in relevant fields.

For Postgraduate Associate / Assistant Researcher B positions

  1. A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in the field of Civil Engineering. Candidates with studies in related disciplines will also be considered, including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy-related Engineering, Computer Science, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Data Management, or Applied Mathematics / Physical Sciences, with application in relevant fields.
  2. Organizational skills

For all of the above positions, the following will be considered an advantage:

 

  1. Mobility experience / international and professional mobility.
  2. Publications in international scientific journals and/or international conferences.
  3. Experience in conducting research and/or working in industry relevant to the field.
  4. Experience in the application of Machine Learning techniques, data analysis/processing, and programming.
  5. Experience in conducting research related to the analysis of monitoring data on the structural behaviour of infrastructure or dynamic systems, or environmental characteristics from sensors.
  6. Experience in proactive and predictive maintenance methods for infrastructure and reliability analysis; experience in modelling and simulation of marine infrastructure or dynamic systems or real-time environmental characteristics; as well as experience in machine learning.
  7. Experience in implementing research programmes funded by national and/or European funds, as well as in writing research proposals for funding.

 

The gross monthly remuneration for part-time or full-time employment is determined as follows, in accordance with the legislation currently in effect.

 

  • Postdoctoral Researcher positions:

€1055,04-€2989,55

 

  • Assistant Researcher A positions:

€731,51-€2136,29

 

  • Assistant Researcher B positions:

€583,83-€1,748,76

 

From the above amounts, employee contributions will be deducted, according to current legislation.

 

The remuneration of the successful candidates will be determined according to qualifications, budget availability, and employment status (full-time or part-time). The appointment will be for a period of 12 months (duties are expected to commence in May 2026), with the prospect of renewal. It is noted that there is provision for 13th salary (the cost of the 13th salary has been proportionally incorporated in the monthly remuneration as analyzed above).
