RESEARCH FELLOW (POSTDOCTORAL RECEARCHER-R2**) POSITION

 

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) Full-time Research Fellow position (Postdoctoral Researcher - R2**) at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics in the field of “Use of ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC) technology with the assist of solar energy”

** According to the European Framework for Research Careers

 

Applicants should have:

  • University Degree (undergraduate level)  or Master’s degree and a Doctoral degree from a recognized university in a relevant field from a recognized university in one or a combination of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other relevant studies.
  • Experience in conducting research/s related to the subject, such as in heat transfer and thermodynamic cycles at an experimental level.
  • Organizational skills
  • Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)

 

The following will be considered as an advantage:

  • Experience in implementation of research programs from national and/or European funds
  • Mobility experience/International and professional mobility

 

Monthly Gross Salary is determined as follows, according to current legislation:

  • Postdoctoral Researchers:

 €2652,97 – €2989,56

 

From the above amounts, employee contributions to Government Funds as well as Income Tax will be deducted, according to legislation into effect.

 

The amount of remuneration for successful candidates will be determined according to qualifications. The period of employment is expected to commence in March 2026 until 30 November 2026.  It is noted that a 13th salary is provided, which has been proportionally incorporated in the monthly remuneration.
