About the Role

 

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Environmental Health and Safety Officer to assist in managing and ongoing management the hotel’s EHS programs. This role is crucial in ensuring strict adherence to local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations, while reinforcing the hotel’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and overall well-being for both guests and staff. The Assistant Officer will collaborate with key departments to foster a culture of excellence and continuous compliance.

  

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support and maintain the hotel’s Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and sustainability programs ensuring compliance with local regulations and international luxury hospitality practices.
  • Conduct proactive inspections across guest areas and operations, maintaining a safe, elegant, and environmentally responsible environment.
  • Assist in investigating incidents and maintain accurate HSE and sustainability records
  • Deliver and support associates training on safety, environmental, and sustainability practices, fostering a culture of safety and excellence
  • Assist with authorities and third-party audits, inspections, and certifications, ensuring readiness at all times.

 

Requirements

 

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) role or similar position, ideally within the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of environmental management systems, safety protocols, and local health and safety regulations.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Teamwork: Ability to perform well under pressure while collaborating effectively with diverse teams across departments.
  • Greek and English language skills are mandatory, additional language an advantage
