RESEARCH FELLOW POSITION

 (Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Assistant A or Research Assistant B)

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) Full-time or Part-time Research Fellow position (Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Assistant A or Research Assistant B) at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics in the field of “Communication, Dissemination, Extroversion, Earth Observation Networking”.

 

Applicants should have:

  • A Degree from a recognized University (diploma/master) in one or a combination of the following fields of study: Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, Media or a related discipline
  • Proven work experience of at least 5 years in extroversion and communication;
  • Proven experience of writing content for communication campaigns.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent team working ability;
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment;
  • Comprehension of Earth Observation and Remote Sensing related topics will be considered as a plus  
  • Good knowledge of Office365 apps and/or other digital media.

 

The selected researcher will work within the EXCELSIOR project for an initial period of six (6) months with the prospect of renewal for 6 months.

The monthly gross salary for the position will range between €764,68 - €2664,56 for the year 2023 and €760,70 – €2650,72 for the year 2024. The salary will depend on the profile of the candidate selected. It is noted that there is provision for 13th salary (the cost of the 13th salary has been proportionally incorporated in the monthly remuneration as analyzed above).

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Project Coordinator, the Project Manager, the WP9 Leader and other members of the consortium of the EU-funded H2020 EXCELSIOR project to develop the annual plan for extroversion and communication of the EXCELSIOR project.
  • Ensure that the extroversion and communication KPIs and other relevant performance targets of the EXCELSIOR project are delivered.
  • Coordinate and provide administrative support to the organisation of extroversion and communication activities of the EXCELSIOR project.
  • Participate in extroversion and communication activities of the EXCELSIOR project.
  • Write and publish content for communication campaigns of the EXCELSIOR project in printed and online media.
  • Prepare relevant progress reports on the extroversion and communication activities of the project.
