POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS OR SPECIAL SCIENTISTIS FOR RESEARCH / RESEARCHERS C’ POSITIONS

 

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) or two (2) part-time Postdoctoral Researchers or Special Scientists for Research / Researchers C Positions at the Department of Nursing in the field of “Public Health”.

 

Project description and responsibilities

CUT (Nursing Department) is the coordinator of a research project funded by the European EU4Health program and entitled 'Developing a Country-Observatory for sharing best practices for vaccination promotion'. The Co-OPERATOR project aims to develop and pilot a knowledge hub, a virtual observatory and a training system in the participating countries, as a proof of concept that will collect, organize and disseminate knowledge, best practices and leveraging resources for vaccination needs against COVID-19 and beyond, with an emphasis on promoting communication, knowledge skills, recognizing and addressing systemic barriers to promoting vaccination messages to the population. Theoretical frameworks from the behavioral sciences such as the COM-B and 7C models are used to allow mapping the needs of different countries and where policy makers should focus their efforts and target their interventions. A policy-making workshop will enable the translation of research data into policy-making proposals to be piloted in five Member States (Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Portugal). The Research Fellow will have the role of coordinating the scientific and accounting parameters of the project, communicating with partners, coordinating the submission of progress reports and organizing the network meetings. Finally, (s)he will coordinate with the Scientific Manager of the project and the other researchers for the deliverables of the project.

 

The required qualifications for each of the categories are as follows:

  1. For Special Scientist for Research / Researcher C’ position

Applicants should have:

  • A master’s degree from a recognized university in one or a combination of the following fields of study: Health-related sciences such as Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Biomedical Sciences etc.
  • Experience in research project management of national and/or European grants
  • Organizational skills
  • Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)

 

The following will be considered as an advantage:

  • Possession of a Ph.D. title in the relevant fields of study.
  1. For Postdoctoral Researcher position

Applicants should have:

  • A PhD degree from a recognized university in one or a combination of the following fields of study: Health-related sciences such as Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Biomedical Sciences etc.
  • Research experience in the above fields
  • Experience in research project management of national and/or European grants
  • Organizational skills
  • Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)

 

The monthly gross earnings, based on the project budget (employer cost), will amount from €913,29 to €1826.59 for the year 2023 and from €908.55 to €1817.10 for the year 2024 (due to an increase of employer contributions to the various government funds), according to current data and current legislation. It is noted that a 13th salary is provided, which has been incorporated proportionally into the monthly remuneration. The final terms of employment (gross monthly earnings and number of working hours per month) will be determined based on the profiles of the selected individuals. The employment period will be for twelve (12) months with the prospect of renewal for another 24 months.
