Οne (1) Part-time Research Fellow (Special Scientist for Research – Researcher C) position under the Horizon Research Program 769252 — RePAST to “investigate how legacies of political conflict impact on elite and citizen attitudes towards European integration”.

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) Part-time Research Fellow (Special Scientist for Research – Researcher C) position at the Department of Communication and Internet Studies funded under the Horizon Research Program 769252 — RePAST to “investigate how legacies of political conflict impact on elite and citizen attitudes towards European integration”.

Applicants should have:

• PhD title from a recognized university in the following field of study: Political Science
• At least three (3) years of research work
• Publication of articles in international scientific journals or well-known reputation or monographs or books of recognized publishing companies
• Research track record in the area of European Union politics
• Experience in EU-funded research programs (possibly in a similar field of expertise)
• Strong methodological skills including expertise in working with public opinion data.
• A familiarity with computational text analysis and data mining would be a distinct advantage.
• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)

Τhe appointment will be for a period of twelve (12) months commencing in August 2018, with the prospect of renewal for another 6 (six) months. The monthly gross salary for the position for the first (6) six months will be €1076,30 and for the following (6) six months €2496,77, in accordance with the legislation currently in effect. It is noted that there is provision for 13th salary (the cost of the 13th salary has been proportionally incorporated in the monthly remuneration as analyzed above).
