Vassilis Protopapas since January 2007 is working in Cyprus University of Technology as Director of Service for Academic Affairs and Student Welfare. He worked for some years in public education of Cyprus (1994-2003) and also served as advisor to Minister of Education and Culture (2003-2006).

He holds a Bachelor in Education Sciences, a Bachelor in Political Sciences and History and a Master in Political Science and Sociology. He holds PhD in Political Science from National University of Athens.

He is author of the Electoral History of Cyprus, 1878-1960 (in greek) and his research interest is in the fields of political parties, elections and electoral behavior.
