WarGaming and other leading organizations collaborate with CUT students as part of the IXN program

Νέα-Ανακοινώσεις

This year saw another successful implementation of the Industry Exchange Network (IXN) programme, within the context of the 3rd year module Web Design and Development I, following a signed agreement between the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and the University College London (UCL) UK in 2021 (https://www.cut.ac.cy/news/article/?languageId=1&contentId=443150)

The IXN programme promotes the sustained participation of students in the development of authentic projects assigned by various industry organizations, following the guidelines and specifications of the programme. Students have the opportunity to work on ‘proofs of concept’ that solve real-life problems, equipping them with industry experience and cultivating their career readiness.

For the 3rd consecutive year, during the Fall semester of 2023, the Multimedia and Graphic Arts 3rd-year students collaborated with local and international organizations such as Wargaming, House of Brands, Summercliff, Algolysis and UiBS. These IXN partners provided systematic feedback, as 'technical mentors' to the student teams, who presented their project deliverables (websites) at a final evaluation event in December 2023.

The IXN was developed and established established by Prof Dean Mohamedally and Prof Graham Roberts, at the UCL Computer Science department and has been endorsed as best practice by the UK government. It has also been adopted by various universities around the world with the aim to enable effective university-industry links in higher education.
