Polina Ellina is a Special Scientist in the Department of Finance, Accounting and Management Science at Cyprus University of Technology. She also works as a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the American University of Cyprus. She worked as a Quantitative Analyst for an International Company in Cyprus. She obtained her PhD in Financial Engineering from the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Cyprus University of Technology. Her research interests is on Skewness and Financial Modelling on the fields of Behavioral Finance, Bitcoin market and the relationship between Risk and Return. She regularly presents her work at academic conferences. She also holds an MSc in Shipping and Finance from Cyprus University of Technology. She received her undergraduate degree (BSc) in Mathematics with specialization in Statistics and Probability Theory from the University of Patras (Greece).
