Aekaterini Mavri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), Co-director of the Cyprus Interaction Lab, and a researcher at the CYENS Center of Excellence. She holds a BA in Visual Communication Design from Middlesex University (UK), an MA in Design for Interactive Media, and a PhD in Educational Technology from CUT.
With extensive industry experience as a digital product designer, her research focuses on user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, as well as learning experience design (LXD). Her work places particular emphasis on technology-supported cross-organizational
[...](university-industry) learning models and the development of 21st-century and future-ready skills in STEM education. social learning models, such as Communities of Practice, that bring together academic and industrial stakeholders, through a technology-supported and curriculum-integrated practice, with an aim to enhance learning and promote the development of critical 21st-century skills.
Aekaterini participates in the AssessMake21, Erasmus+ project and is the initiator of the CUT-IXN Industry Exchange Network (IXN) initiative in collaboration with University College London (UCL). She also leads usability evaluation projects in collaboration with CYENS.
