Duration: 16 October – 15 November 2026
Venue: Limassol Municipal Arts Centre – Apothikes Papadaki

The 3rd Cyprus Poster Triennial (CPT) continues its trajectory as an international platform dedicated to the contemporary poster while establishing Cyprus as a meeting point for the global design community in the Eastern Mediterranean. The 2026 edition presents an exhibition of more than 300 works selected through an Open International Call, which attracted more than 3000 entries from designers representing more than 100 countries, confirming the Triennial’s steadily owing international reputation.

Since its inception in 2019, the Cyprus Poster Triennial has become an independent, non-profit platform devoted to graphic design and visual communication. It approaches the poster as a dynamic medium that has historically conveyed ideas, shaped public discourse, and reflected the cultural and social identity of every era.

This year’s Triennial, presented/ hosted at the Limassol Municipal Arts Centre – Apothikes Papadaki is organized around six thematic categories: Social Posters, Cultural Posters, Advertising & Commercial Posters, Animated/Motion, Experimental Posters, and the special thematic category Modernism(s) and the Fabulous Now!, inviting designers to reconsider the legacy of Modernism through a contemporary perspective.

The majority of the selected works belong to the Social and Cultural Poster categories, highlighting the historical role of the poster as a vehicle for social awareness, cultural participation, and public dialogue. Together, these works demonstrate that visual communication remains one of the most powerful tools for shaping collective consciousness.

Alongside them, the Animated/Motion Posters category marks the Triennial’s engagement with emerging technologies and evolving forms of digital communication. Through motion and animation, the poster expands beyond the printed surface into a multidimensional visual medium that redefines the relationship between designer and audience.

In parallel with the exhibition, an extensive public programme will feature lectures, workshops, educational activities, guided tours for schools and the general public, and encounters between audiences, professionals, and students. Through these initiatives, the Triennial seeks to cultivate visual literacy and encourage critical dialogue on the role of visual communication in contemporary society.
