The 19th Annual EuroMed Academy Conference successfully concluded following three days of academic exchange, held from 23 to 25 September 2026 at the Aliathon Resort in Paphos, Cyprus, with the Cyprus University of Technology serving as host and co-organizer, under the theme “Global Strategy and Innovation for Business Excellence in Challenging Times.”
The three-day conference brought together more than 350 participants from over 50 different countries, including academics, researchers, doctoral candidates and business professionals, highlighting the strongly international character of the event.
The scientific programme covered a broad range of contemporary topics related to strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, marketing and branding, digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence, fostering dialogue and strengthening the connection between academic research and business practice.
Particular emphasis was placed on the emerging applications and challenges of Artificial Intelligence, with one of the key highlights being the keynote address by Prof. Yogesh K. Dwivedi, entitled “The Rise of Agentic AI: Opportunities, Challenges, and a Future Research Agenda.” Dedicated sessions and research presentations further explored the role of Artificial Intelligence in management, strategic decision-making, marketing, entrepreneurship, education and organisational transformation.
Other notable highlights included the Doctoral Colloquium, organised in collaboration with EUMMAS, the Meet the Editors session, which provided participants with opportunities to engage with distinguished academics and journal editors, as well as the Awards Ceremony, recognising significant academic and research contributions.
This year’s Conference Chairs were Dr Yioula Melanthiou, Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication and Marketing at the Cyprus University of Technology, and Dr Vasiliki Triga, Dean of the School of Communication and Media Studies at the Cyprus University of Technology.
By hosting and co-organising the 19th Annual EuroMed Academy Conference, the Cyprus University of Technology further strengthened its international presence and its contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge and international academic dialogue. The conference provided an important platform for international scholarly networking, knowledge exchange and the development of new collaborations, further strengthening connections between academia and the business community.
