Dr. Emmanouela Manoli is a Special Teaching Staff in Midwifery at the Cyprus University of Technology since January 2024. She graduated in 2015 from the Department of Nursing of the Cyprus University of Technology and continued her postgraduate and doctoral studies in Midwifery at the same institution.
She has extensive clinical experience in the field of midwifery, having worked in a major private maternity hospital in Cyprus, where she gained significant expertise in the clinical application of midwifery and in perinatal parent education.
From 2018 to 2023, she worked as a Special Scientist at the Cyprus University of Technology, contributing to the teaching of theoretical and laboratory courses in the Master’s Program in Midwifery. In parallel, she collaborated with a private university in Cyprus from 2019 to 2022.
Her academic and research interests focus on midwifery, midwifery education, gender-based violence, and women’s rights during the perinatal period.
In the Master’s Program in Midwifery, she teaches the courses “Midwifery I: Normal Pregnancy, Puerperium and Newborn” and “Reproductive, Sexual and Gynecological Health,” as well as the laboratory component of “Midwifery III: Obstetric Pathology, Neonatology and Care of the High-Risk Newborn.” She is also responsible for the clinical placements of undergraduate students in “Midwifery and Gynaecological Nursing (NUR323),” as well as postgraduate midwifery students.
She is an active member of the Midwives’ Committee of PASYNM and, since 2022, has represented Cyprus in the International Confederation of Midwives. She is also engaged in voluntary work through Non-Governmental Organizations and Community Volunteer Councils in infant care programs. In addition, she is a certified infant massage instructor by the International Association of Infant Massage.
