Research Interests

Dr. Keivanidis focuses on cutting edge research projects in the field of nano-engineered organic electrophotonic devices by combining a strong expertise in the study of photophysical and physico-chemical properties of organic materials. He combines optical and electro-optical characterization techniques with the processing of nanostructured composites via solution-based techniques for enabling smart engineering protocols to deliver photoactive and electroactive layers to be integarted in high performance device architectures. Attention is given on the establishment of rigorous structure-property-performance relationships for the development of optimized thin film multicomponent systems via solution-deposition techniques such as spin- and dip-coating. Particular emphasis is given on the use of spectroscopic techniques that monitor electronic energy- and charge-transfer processes for contributing in the resolution of current research problems dealing with the protection, the optimization and the sensitization of organic electronic devices. Dr. Keivanidis is the head of the Device Technology and Chemical Physics Lab that is based on the premises of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering at the Cyprus University of Technology.
