Professor Petrou is a strategic management scholar at the Department of Management, Entrepreneurship and Digital Business. He holds an MSc in engineering, an MSc in statistics, an MBA and a PhD from University of Warwick.
He worked in both industry and academia. His research interests relate to corporate governance, non-market strategies, M&As and political ideology in organizations.

Research Interests & Activities
The objective of my research work has been to create high quality output through novel and coherent theory development, meticulous research design and robust analysis. To support this objective, I work with colleagues to initiate research projects in line with our area of expertise, and to create a constant stream of output for dissemination in high quality journals. Over the years I worked on a number of research projects focusing on four key themes relating to firm decision-making; internationalization decisions, SME decision-making processes, political ideology as a set of values that influence decision-making, and upper echelons’ decision-making and outcomes.
