Supervisor: Dr Ariana Polyviou

Topic: Metaverse and Responsible Business Models

Brief Description: Milena Di Nenno is PhD candidate in Metaverse and Responsible Business models. Her research is funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network, AGORA. Her work explores digital responsibility and business models in the metaverse. She investigates how digital responsibilities can be assigned, governed, and enacted across metaverse ecosystems, with particular attention to the interactions and dynamics among metaverse stakeholders. In this context, she examines the business models of metaverse actors, focusing on how the strategic choices of one actor can affect the business models of others, [...]and on the ways and extent to which these interdependencies influence the digital responsibility of all actors operating in the ecosystem. Her work has been published in the proceedings of AIS-affiliated conferences including the Mediterranean Conference on Information Systems (MCIS2025) and the conference of the Italian Chapter of the Association for Information Systems (ItAIS2025).
