Vasiliki Hadjicharalambous holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech & Language Therapy/ Pathology from the Cyprus University of Technology, Department of Rehabilitation sciences and an MSc degree on ‘Speech, Language and Communication needs in schools: Advanced Practice’ of City University of London in a joint program with University College London (UCL).

After completing her MSc degree, she worked as a speech therapist for a non-profit organisation, Theotokos Foundation- Child Development Centre 'To Alma’. She currently works for the Ministry of Education Cyprus, as a speech therapist in public nursery and primary schools.

She is a registered member in the [...]Association of Registered Speech Pathologists of Cyprus and an active member of the Augmentative and Alternative Communication special interest group (AACLab), of the Cyprus university of Technology.

Vasiliki is a PHD candidate at the Cyprus University of Technology. Her research areas focus on the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) in practice, assistive technology, graphic symbols, and the use of graphic symbols with children with complex communication needs, such as children with autism spectrum disorders.
