Cyprus University of Technology announces the launch of a management system for fishing tourism.

CUT has created an internet-based management system for fishing tourism (www.fishingtourism.net).

The proposed management is of a crowd sourcing format which means users can contribute to the growth of the content of this system. The crowd sourcing platform was developed by the department of Electrical engineering, computer engineering and Informatics of Cyprus University of Technology under the project TOURISMED.

The program TOURISMED is funded by the INTERREG Mediterranean program. The total funding of the program is 2.1 million Euros. TOURISMED is a collaboration between Italy, France, Spain, Albania, Greece and Cyprus and is funded by the European Union and more specific by the European Regional Regional Development Development Fund - ERDF ) Fund (ERDF).

The project started in February 2017 and is expected to end in July 2019.
