Announcing the membership of the Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and Public Health in the Planetary Health Alliance


Τhe Planetary Health Alliance (PHA) has just announced that the Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and Public Health (CII), is an official member of its top-notch network of top universities, non-governmental organizations, government entities, and research institutes around the globe that work in planetary health issues. Planetary health is a new scientific discipline and global movement that works to understand and address the human health impacts of accelerating anthropogenic environmental change.  The PHA is coordinated by the Harvard University and it is funded by The Rockefeller Foundation.

The CII is committed to contributing to public health actions in Cyprus and the broader Eastern Mediterranean region.

The CII mission is to conduct research, educational and outreach activities focusing on the influence of environment on non-communicable disease patterns that are well aligned with the priorities of the Planetary Health Alliance.
