The University provides insurance for accidents for students which covers them from the first day of registration till the day of their graduation.
The insurance covers students for 24 hours a day, for 365 days a year, regardless of whether they are in University, or on sites traineeships or anywhere else within Cyprus. The insurance covers compensation for death, injury, which causes partial or permanent damage (or incompetence) and some on hospital expenses.
Certain exceptions apply:
- Death from Accident €10.000
- Permanent Total Disability €30.000
- Medical Expenses due to accident €5.000
Procedure for Accident
In the event of an accident, the student should fill out the Injury application form, (within three days of the accident) and send it electronically to the careers Office (careers@cut.ac.cy), so the Company will be informed.
Then, within 30 days from the day of the accident, the student will need to send directly to the company a completed "Form of compensation". It should be sent in an envelope (Attention Account Department of Liberty Life Allowances), which is free from the ACS Courier stores. Please note that in the envelope, its necessary to include 2 original and completed forms, all proofs of payment relating to the accident, as well as the results of medical work and other diagnostic tests.
