Dear Friends,

Welcome to the webpage of the Department of Mechanical and Materials Science Engineering at Cyprus University of Technology. Our department is unique within the University education system of Cyprus and Greece in that it combines in a unified Engineering program the inherently connected fields of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering. Our high quality undergraduate program offers our students a strong foundation in the basic science and engineering fundamentals in the first two years of study, which later transmutes into a broad but at the same time well focused cycle of studies in the last two academic years, with emphasis on applied engineering and practical training. The integration of these two directions in a unified degree equips engineers with the latest developments in Mechanical Engineering, together with expert knowledge in Materials Science and Engineering, providing them with a significant advantage pertaining to employment opportunities in the public and private sectors of Cyprus and abroad.

Furthermore, we are currently in the process of developing our graduate program of studies which will eventually lead to masters and doctorate degrees. Our objective is to grant high calibre, internationally acclaimed degrees, in both directions, with equal emphasis on basic and applied research.
